Unless you explicitly opt-out, oasdiff collects telemetry data about your use of the tool. This data allows us, the oasdiff development team, to understand how the software is being used and to improve the tool and and support, including identifying, troubleshooting, and responding to issues that impact users. The data may be shared internally within the oasdiff development team to improve the user experience.

What information does oasdiff collect?

oasdiff monitors various metrics and this information is transmitted to the oasdiff telemetry service. Metrics include the following information:

• The time oasdiff was executed

• A cryptographically secure hash of the unique machine ID

• The oasdiff software version

• The operating system

• The platform: official oasdiff docker image, oasdiff GitHub action or other wrappers of oasdiff

• The cmd-line that was used to execute oasdiff

Personal Data

oasdiff does not intend to collect personal information. To the extent that any telemetry data constitutes personal data, please contact us at info@oasdiff.com.

Retention

oasdiff retains and stores telemetry data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

oasdiff employs technical and organizational measures designed to protect the telemetry data.

Data Sharing

Only personnel with a valid business justification are permitted access to telemetry data. oasdiff may share telemetry data in an aggregated form that does not identify users.

Third Party Service Providers

oasdiff may engage certain service providers to assist in the collection, storage, and visualization of the telemetry data.
